EKITANGAZA KYA WEEKEND ONLINE SOCCER TIPS (15th Dec)

Predictions

EKITANGAZA KYA WEEKEND ONLINE SOCCER TIPS & PREDICTIONS 15TH, 16TH & 17TH DECEMBER

1. Nottingham Vs Tottenham – 2 (Friday)

Nottingham have not won a game from their last 5 league fixtures registering 4 loses and a draw as Tottenham have tried to regain their winning form after thumping Newcastle 4:1 last weekend. I anticipate a tight one but at last Spurs will emerge as victors basing on form and squad quality.

2. Monaco Vs Lyon – 1&O2.5 (Friday)

Currently 3rd placed Monaco host 18th placed Lyon at Stade Louis II as the league proceeds. Lyon are really struggling to fight relegation as they sit bottom of the league a place they do not deserve given their status. Monaco is in really good shape and I do not see Lyon posing any resistance. I see a home win with a total number of 3+ goals in the game.

3. Genoa Vs Juventus – 2 (Friday)

Genoa have not won a game in their last 3 Serie A games and here comes 2nd placed Juventus who really want to cling their gap between Inter at top of the league. Juventus are unbeaten in their last 10 league games winning 8 and drawing twice, I do not see Genoa posing any challenge today. Let us trust the Old Lady to win

4. RB Leipzig Vs Hoffenheim – O2.5 (Saturday)

Leipzig are 4th placed and have really exhibited their courage to enter European Top 4 spots as the Bundesliga continues. Hoffenheim are 6th placed with 8 points separating the 2 sides. I anticipate an end to end game with a minimum of 3 goals as both sides have a direct approach of counter attacking football. Just expect magic today. Over 2.5 tulumbe.

5. Ath. Bilbao Vs Atl. Madrid – U2.5 (Saturday)

If there is a hard team to play against by the so called big 3 in Spain, it is Ath. Bilbao. I anticipate a hard game for Atl. Madrid with a very low scoring rate. Both sides are good at defending and hard to be penetrate through their back lines. 4/5 last H2H matches between the two sides have seen under 2.5 goals.

6. Valencia Vs Barcelona – 2 (Saturday)

Barcelona lost to league leaders Girona last weekend, so I expect them to try bounce back to their winning ways if they are still to pose any title challenge this season. Valencia really struggled in the first stages of the league and later on tried to gain their winning mentality that see them in 11th position currently however I do not see them stopping ruthless Barcelona currently 4th placed, a position that never suites them. I see Xavi using all possible ways to win this game.

7. Heerenveen Vs Volendam – 1&O1.5 (Saturday)

Volendam are currently sitting at the bottom of the Dutch Eredivisie and have lost all their last 4 league games; what a bad run from them. Heerenveen have won 5/5 last H2H meetings with Volendam. Even the blind knows on which team to place their bet on.

8. Arsenal Vs Brighton – Yes (Sunday)

Currently 2nd placed Arsenal host stubborn Brighton who are never easy for any side in EPL. Both sides are really in good shape when it comes to attack. Players like Mitoma, Ferguson and Pedro from Brighton can score at any time same as players like Jesus, Martinelli, Ordegaard and Saka from Arsenal. 5/5 last Brighton Premier League fixtures have seen both teams scoring.

9. Liverpool Vs Manchester United – 1&O1.5 (Sunday)

As favored by bookmakers, 95% of punters are also in support as Liverpool win stands at odd 1.33 and united win stands at 9.13. Anfield launching their new stand addition of 7,000 fans to make a total of 57,000 will be a very hostile atmosphere for United given they are their biggest rivals in England. Putting Liverpool’s quality and form aside, I do not see United containing that hostile crowd in Merseyside. Home win with a minimum of 2 goals in the game.

10. Bayer Leverkusen Vs Frankfurt – (1) Sunday

Frankfurt thumped 5 past Bayern Munich last weekend and here they come as guests to Bayer Leverkusen at Bay Arena. What a game, confusing most of punters on who to place their bets on, but tell you what, Bayer Leverkusen is going to defeat Frankfurt hands down. Frankfurt are not so good when it comes to away games yet Bayer Leverkusen have the best home form in Bundesliga this season. Home win will bring back the money.

EKITANGAZA KYA WEEKEND ONLINE TIPS AND PREDICTIONS (8th dec)

Predictions

EKITANGAZA KYA WEEKEND ONLINE TIPS AND PREDICTIONS 8TH, 9TH & 10TH DECEMBER

1. Juventus Vs Napoli – 1 (Friday)

At Allianz stadium, second placed Juventus host 5th placed Napoli in a big clash. Napoli lost 3 nil at home to Inter last weekend and being guests today to high flying Juventus is quite a bigger mountain to climb. I anticipate a home win today with a slight win margin.

2. Getafe Vs Valencia – Both teams to score: No (Friday)

Getafe are 10th placed as they host 9th placed Valencia. I anticipate a reserved game as both sides have really found it hard to score goals this season. There is no guarantee that when they meet, both will score. 4/5 last H2H meetings have not seen both teams score

3. Crystal Palace Vs Liverpool – 2 (Saturday)

If there is a team that has tried to be consistent this season, it is Liverpool as it has only lost one game that came due to VAR controversy against Tottenham. I do not see Crystal Palace stopping them tonight. Crystal Palace lost to Bournemouth at home in mid-week

4. Man United Vs Bournemouth – Total Corners Home Team: Over 6.5 (Saturday)

After losing to Newcastle last weekend and defeating Chelsea in mid-week, I expect United to try extend their winning streak. This will lead to a very busy evening for Bournemouth in attempt to stop the Red Devils. I see a minimum of 7 corners for United

5. Aston Villa Vs Arsenal – Yes (Saturday)

After humbling Man City in mid-week, Aston Villa at Villa Park are up against log leaders Arsenal; what a game. I expect an end to end game as the Gunners want to extend their log lead. Aston Villa also wants to enter the top 4 following their good form so far this season. I see at least from either side.

6. Dortmund Vs Leipzig – O2.5 (Saturday)

At Signal Iduna Park, 5th placed Dortmund host 4th placed Leipzig as they continue to chase Bayern and Bayer Leverkusen at the top of the league. One point separates the 2 sides bringing assurance to every one betting on Over 2.5 goals. Just expect goals from either side as the game is going to be end to end.

7. Atalanta Vs AC Milan – 2 (Saturday)

AC Milan are currently 3rd placed and will aim for today’s win to get closer to Inter and Juventus ahead of them on the table. Disappointingly, Atalanta lost to Torino last weekend and I do not see them being an obstacle to Milan today however much the game is at Gewiss stadium. AC Milan will really find a way to win this game.

8. Betis Vs Real Madrid – U2.5 (Saturday)

Both sides have not lost a game in their last 5 league fixtures as we head into match day 16. Both sides are good at defending and rarely concede when they meet. 4/5 last H2H meetings have not seen more than 2 goals.

9. Tottenham Vs Newcastle – O2.5 (Sunday)

Before drawing with Man City last weekend, Tottenham had lost all their last 3 league games and here comes ruthless Newcastle that have just thumped Man United. Only 1 point separates the 2 sides as Spurs sit 5th and Newcastle 7th on the log. I anticipate an equal fight for maximum points today which will result into numerous attacks and goal scoring opportunities from both sides. All their last 5 H2H matches have seen more than 2 goals. Let us go for O2.5 to be safe here.

10. Barcelona Vs Girona – Yes (Sunday)

Girona have proved to be giants in the Spanish top flight this season as they have only lost to Real Madrid since the start of the season, this putting them in 2nd position on the log tied up with Madrid at 38 points. This is going to be a tough game and I expect at least a goal from each side. I see a 1:1 or 2:2 draw. Whoever is to win will walk away with a very slight margin.

The spotlight, as customary in recent years, shines brightly on the French national team. Despite minor shifts, the team’s core remains intact, spearheaded by the formidable Mbappé. The Blues, unwavering in their pursuit of success, are unquestionably the frontrunners.

The rivalry between France and England adds an extra layer of excitement to the tournament, as both giants vie for supremacy.

The German Hosts: A Strong Contender at 6.00

As the host nation, Germany carries the weight of expectations into Euro 2024. With odds standing at 6.00, the team is gearing up to make a lasting impact on their home turf. The passionate support of the home crowd could prove to be the catalyst that propels them to glory. The quest for victory on familiar soil adds an intriguing narrative to Germany’s campaign.

Iberian Powerhouses: Portugal and Spain at 9.00

The Iberian Peninsula presents two formidable contenders in Portugal and Spain, both sharing odds of 9.00. The footballing prowess of these nations is well-documented, and Euro 2024 provides them with an opportunity to etch their names in the annals of football history. The battle for supremacy amongst these footballing giants promises to be intense and captivating.

Beyond the Favorites: Exploring the Dark Horses

Euro 2024 is poised to be a spectacle of footballing prowess, with France and England leading the charge. The competition, however, is fierce, with Germany, Portugal, Spain, Croatia, and Denmark hot on their heels. EKITANGAZA KYA WEEKEND ONLINE TIPS AND PREDICTIONS 1ST, 2ND & 3RD DECEMBER 2024

Predictions

EKITANGAZA KYA WEEKEND ONLINE TIPS & PREDICTIONS 1st, 2nd & 3rd DECEMBER 2024

Arsenal's Crucial Fixtures in September and October

1. Monza Vs Juventus – 2 (Friday)

Juventus succumbed to a two goal win by Monza in the 2nd leg of last season as the Old Lady was really having a poor season. Following the Old Lady’s form and heroics this season that have positioned them in 2nd place on the log with 2 points behind log leaders Inter, I anticipate them winning this encounter as a pay back to Monza and a chance to top Serie A prior to their match day. Sure win away, tuyina okubanja.

2. Arsenal Vs Wolves – 1 (Saturday)

Arsenal currently lead the league and here comes an opportunity to further extend their lead at the summit of the table. The gunners have won all their last 4 meetings with Wolves and being home, I do not give the away side any chance to attain a single point.

3. Newcastle Vs Man United – O2.5 (Saturday)

In-form Newcastle host Man United at one of the most hostile support grounds St. James’s Park at the race for both to enter the top 4 continues. Man United currently sit 6th on the log as the hosts occupy the 7th spot. Both are in great form and hardly finish a game without scoring at least a goal. I anticipate an end to end game since both will go for the 3 points following their one point margin. Over 2.5 goals is the safest bet in this fixture.

4. B. Monchengladbach Vs Hoffenheim – O2.5 (Saturday)

At Borussia Park B. Monchengladbach that have made O2.5 in all their last 8 fixtures in all competitions host 6th placed Hoffenheim who really need a win to cling the gap between them and Leipzig in 5th position. These are 2 sides in the German Bundesliga that are well known for offensive game approach and really do it well. 4/5 of their last H2H meetings have seen more than 3 goals.

5. AC Milan Vs Frosinone – 1 (Saturday)

AC Milan are currently 3rd placed with 26 points creating 4 and 6 point margins with Juventus and Inter Respectively. A win today will see them get to 29 points which gives them more boast in the Scudetto race. Being home, I see them win today

6. Osasuna Vs Real Sociedad – 2 (Saturday)

If there is a most possible odd 2 win this weekend, it is this away win as high flying Real Sociedad face struggling Osasuna. Real Sociedad have won 5/5 last H2H La Liga meetings with Osasuna. The home side is currently 14th placed not having won a game from their last 4 league fixtures. I do not see them stopping the Txuri- Urdin.

7.Famalicao Vs FC Porto – 2 (Saturday)

At Estadio De Municipal Famalicao, 7th placed Famalicao host 3rd placed FC Porto as the league continues. Porto lost to Barcelona in mid-week and I see this as an opportunity for them to bounce back to their winning ways. A win will see Porto cling their gap with Sporting CP if at all the latter does not win.

8. Hadjuk Split Vs Gorica – 1&O1.5 (Saturday)

A win for Hadjuk Split will extend their lead to 39 points as the race in the Croatian top flight continues. Gorica are currently 4th placed but I do not see them stopping the most in-form side in the league that have won all their last 5 games in the league. 3/5 last H2H meetings between the 2 sides have been won by the home side. Let go for a win with a total minimum of 2 goals.

9. Man City Vs Tottenham – 1&O2.5 (Sunday)

Man City are currently sitting 2nd on the log after drawing with Liverpool last weekend. At Etihad, Spurs are the guests and I expect an end to end game as both will try to secure maximum points. If there is a game Man City needs to win, it is this one cause if they lose points, their title hopes will have started to decline. Tottenham have lost all their last 3 Premier league fixtures and I do not see them attain anything against City

10. Barcelona Vs Atl. Madrid – U2.5 (Sunday)

Barcelona are currently 4th placed as they host 3rd placed Atletico Madrid at Estadio Olimpico a neutral location. It is a hard one at the moment to trust Barcelona with a sure win given due their inconsistence. Both sides always respect each other every time they meet and it is on very few occasions when we have witnessed over 2.5 goals. 5/6 last H2H meetings have seen Under 2.5 goals

Revolutionizing African Football: The Unveiling of the African Football League

Revolutionizing African Football: The Unveiling of the African Football League

In a groundbreaking move, the African football landscape is undergoing a transformation with the inception of the African Football League (AFL), a FIFA-backed initiative that promises to reshape the way we perceive football on the continent. This pan-African competition, designed to rival the existing CAF Champions League, has been met with anticipation and scrutiny, provoking controversy and surprises along its developmental journey.

The Genesis of Change

The AFL’s roots trace back to November 2019 when FIFA President Gianni Infantino articulated his vision for African football during a visit to the Democratic Republic of Congo. His ambitious plans included elevating refereeing standards, enhancing infrastructure, and raising the level of competition. One of the key proposals was to create a league featuring the top 20 African clubs, projecting it to generate over $200 million in revenue, catapulting it into the top 10 leagues globally.

From Concept to Reality

Under the leadership of CAF President Ahmad Ahmad, plans for the African Super League, as it was initially named, gained approval in August 2022. The competition aimed to involve 24 teams from 16 countries across Africa, divided into three regional groups: North, Central, West, and Southeast. The tournament’s format would see clubs play each other home and away, culminating in 197 matches set to commence in August 2023 and conclude the following May. The substantial prize pool of $100 million, with the winners receiving $11.6 million, marked a significant financial incentive for participating teams.

Altered Dynamics with CAF Champions League

The relationship between the AFL and the established CAF Champions League added another layer of complexity. While the Champions League continued its annual run, the AFL’s altered format and sponsorship links raised questions about its alignment with CAF’s vision. CAF President Patrice Motsepe reassured that the Champions League and Confederations Cup remained secure, but hinted at the need for structural adjustments in the future.

FIFA’s Influence and Legacy

FIFA President Gianni Infantino’s involvement in African football, particularly his alliance with Patrice Motsepe, added a unique dimension to the AFL. Described by Infantino as a “world first” and a “game changer,” the tournament seemed to bear the hallmarks of FIFA’s influence. However, concerns lingered about its impact on the broader spectrum of African clubs.

Unveiling the Reality

As the AFL unfolded, it became evident that Infantino’s grand claims faced challenges. The prize money was reduced, with winners now set to receive $4 million, a significant drop from the initially proposed $11.6 million. The geopolitical disputes, sponsorship struggles, and the rift with beIN Sports all contributed to a less-than-ideal inaugural season for the AFL.

Navigating the Future

The African Football League’s debut has undoubtedly stirred the football landscape in Africa. While facing teething problems and skepticism, the tournament holds the potential to evolve and contribute positively to African football. As the stakeholders navigate challenges and controversies, the future trajectory of the AFL will likely shape the narrative of football on the continent for years to come.

EKITANGAZA KYA WEEKEND ONLINE TIPS AND PREDICTIONS (24th Nove)

Predictions

EKITANGAZA KYA WEEKEND ONLINE TIPS AND PREDICTIONS 24TH, 25TH & 26TH NOVEMBER 2024

1. PSG Vs Monaco – Yes & O2.5 (Friday)

PSG are currently leading the league and here comes 3rd placed Monaco at Parc des Princes. What a game to have on Friday night football. All I anticipate are goals to flock in from both teams. Both sides are known for scoring goals for fun and easily conceding which makes Yes and Over 2.5 an ideal selection if we are to put money in the bank. Over 2.5 is the safest bet in this fixture. Tulumbe goal zijja kunywa.

2. Koln Vs Bayern Munich – O3.5 (Friday)

Bayern are currently 2nd placed trailing Bayer Leverkusen by 2 points as the tight race for the log summit continues. Koln are 2nd last on the table comfortably sitting in relegation zone and I do not see them posing any big challenge against ruthless Bayern who want to top the league prior to Bayer Leverkusen’s game on Saturday. 8/10 of their last H2H games in Bundesliga have seen more than 3 goals.

3. Man City Vs Liverpool – O2.5 (Saturday)

When any experienced punter comes across this fixture, he or she just goes for O2.5 goals. Why? Simply because the two are currently the most attacking sides in the league. This is apparently the biggest fixture in the league as Man City sits at the summit of the log trailed by Liverpool in 2nd position with a 2 points margin. Liverpool will chase for a win if they are to make a league winning statement this season as City will try to also win to silence the Reds’ high flying form. 8/10 last H2H have seen O2.5 goals.

4. Newcastle Vs Chelsea – U2.5 (Saturday)

We return from the International break and most crucial players from both teams are expected to be exhausted after travelling long distances to return to England from South America. Players like Joelington (Newcastle/Brazil) and Enzo Fernandez (Chelsea/Argentina) were involved in the famous fierce game between Brazil and Argentina in Maracana. 7/8 last H2H EPL games have seen U2.5 goals.

5. Brentford Vs Arsenal – Home team to score: Yes (Saturday)

Brentford host the Gunners at Brentford community stadium as the big weekend of club football returns following a long International break. Brentford are well known for their great counter attacking style of play especially when playing big teams. Being home, its players having fresher legs than Arsenal players; I anticipate at least a goal from the home side.

6. Viborg Vs Copenhagen – 2 (Saturday)

At the Energi Viborg Arena, Viborg currently 8th placed host log leaders Copenhagen in a very hard game for the guests following. Of course it won’t be an easy game but I see Copenhagen returning to The City of Spires with the 3 points. Copenhagen have won 4/5 last H2H matches against Viborg and have not lost to them since July 2022.

7. Werder Bremen Vs Bayer Leverkusen – 2 (Saturday)

All I can say is Bayer Leverkusen are currently unstoppable in the German Bundesliga this season as they have not lost a game since the start of the season. They have literally won against everyone except Bayern whom they drew against. They currently lead the league and I don’t see Bremen stopping them. Tumuwe ajja kutegula.

8. Atalanta Vs Napoli – Total Bookings O4.5 (Saturday)

The race to Scudetto continues today as defending champions Napoli who haven’t yet performed to everyone’s expectations in comparison to last season sit 4th on the log. Unlike last season, Atalanta are a powerhouse this season as they sit 5th on the log with just a point behind Napoli. I expect a very physical game from both sides basing on their game approach and gegen-pressing match tactics. 4/5 of their last H2H meetings have seen more than 4 yellow and red cards.

9. Everton Vs Man United – Yes (Sunday)

Everton are currently 19th placed but have tried to improve their performance compared to their start to this season in August as they have won 3 times and drawn once from their last 5 Premier league outings. United are the favorites to win this game however no one can guarantee them a sure win according to their recent inconsistency. I anticipate an end to end game with both sides yearning to attain maximum points today. Both teams will surely score. 3/5 of their last H2H meetings saw both teams scoring at least a goal.

10. Juventus Vs Inter Milan – U2.5 (Sunday)

What a scintillating game this is going to be as we return from the International break. Both clubs are considered among the most successful teams in Italian football that have really won a lot of magnificent trophies. Both sides have won all their last 4 league fixtures and are really having good runs as Inter tops the league and Juventus sits 2nd with a 2 point margin. Both clubs respect each other so much whenever they meet and this has always resulted into limited goal scoring opportunities created leading to less goals every time they meet. 4/5 of their last H2H meetings have seen more than 2 goals. Let us go for U2.5 goals.

GOOD LUCK

Unveiling the Depths of English Football’s Pyramid

Unveiling the Depths of English Football’s Pyramid

Unveiling the Depths of English Football’s Pyramid

The pyramid system is the most important part of English football. It is made up of promotion and relegation, as well as a web of leagues that are all linked to each other. This method is what mobility is all about; it promises that any club, no matter where it comes from, can reach the top or fall to the bottom. Even though it’s well known, the full size of the football pyramid is still unknown. Let’s delve into the depths and unravel the layers that define English football’s unique structure.

  • The Pinnacle: Premier League Dominance

At the zenith of the pyramid stands the illustrious Premier League, the epitome of professional football. Directly below, the English Football League comprises three divisions: the Championship, League One, and League Two, collectively hosting 92 clubs at any given time.

  • Beyond the League System: The Pyramid’s Expansive Reach

Steps are another way to group football levels that are not in a league. Step one takes us to the National League, which just got a new team when Wrexham was promoted in 2023. Step Two, which is split into the National League North and South, is similar in that it is based on geography. For example, Gloucester City and their Meadow Park stadium draw huge numbers.

  • Navigating the Labyrinth: Steps Three, Four, and Five

Step Three introduces complexity with four divisions, each influencing the trajectory of clubs moving both up and down. Teams at this level may find themselves in the Northern Premier League Premier Division, Southern League Premier Division Central, Southern League Premier Division South, or the Isthmian League Premier Division.

Step Four and Step Five follow a similar pattern but with more divisions, adding intricacies to the journey. Teams must navigate through a maze of possible destinations based on geography, ensuring the right balance across divisions.

  • Unveiling the Base: Step Six and Beyond

Step Six unveils 17 divisions with 339 clubs, further regionalizing the landscape. The principle of mobility persists, exemplified by the Hellenic League promoting into the Hellenic League Premier Division, which is part of the Southern League system. Step Six marks the recognized base of the pyramid, home to 787 clubs competing for ascension.

  • A Journey to Glory: Beyond Step Eleven

While Step Eleven represents the lowest officially recognized level, it merely serves as the starting point for many clubs. The Yorkshire Amateur League, for instance, extends down to the 18th level of English football, showcasing diverse divisions. Here, clubs like Route One Rovers embark on a journey upwards, each promotion bringing them closer to glory.

  • Stories of Triumph and Difficulties

The football pyramid’s mobility is evident in the tales of clubs like AFC Wimbledon, rising from level seven to League One within 14 years. Meanwhile, historical giants like Fulham and Manchester City traversed all four divisions, illuminating the diverse paths within the pyramid.

Conversely, cautionary tales like Alm Athletic’s fall from the Premier League to Step One emphasize the unpredictability inherent in the pyramid’s structure. The footballing landscape is dynamic, with success and setbacks shaping the destinies of clubs.

  • The Ever-Changing Landscape

English football’s pyramid reflects not just a structure but a narrative of ambition, perseverance, and unpredictability. Whether climbing from the depths or facing an unexpected descent, every club contributes to the rich tapestry of the footballing pyramid.

In the intricate layers of English football’s pyramid, each step represents a chapter in a club’s journey. As clubs ascend, fall, and climb again, the pyramid stands as a testament to the ever-evolving nature of the beautiful game.

The Journey to Lionel Messi’s Ballon d’Or Victories

The Ballon d’Or is the ultimate recognition for the best player of the year, and a panel of judges selected by France Football awards it. This esteemed panel evaluates numerous factors when casting their votes, with a significant emphasis on individual and club achievements, particularly winning prestigious trophies at the club level.

In Messi’s case, it is no coincidence that several of his Ballon d’Or wins align with the years he clinched the UEFA Champions League with his club. These triumphant years include 2009, 2011, and 2015. Winning the Champions League clearly has a profound impact on the judges’ decision-making process.

In other years, Messi’s exceptional skills and statistics spoke for themselves. With 34 goals in 2010, he won the Spanish Super Cup and La Liga, earning the Golden Shoe. Again, he won the Golden Shoe and top scorer in the Spanish League in 2012 with an incredible 50 goals.

After winning the Spanish championship and the Golden Shoe with 36 goals, Messi won another Ballon d’Or in 2019. Each of these victories was undeniably well-deserved, given Messi’s outstanding performances and contributions to his team.

In 2021, the Ballon d’Or returned to Messi because he continued to be recognized as the world’s best player. His role in Argentina’s victory in the America’s Cup further solidified his claim to the title. Lastly, in 2023, his remarkable performance in leading Argentina to victory in the World Cup in Qatar was the ultimate testament to his unparalleled excellence.

Lionel Messi’s Place in Football History: Is He the GOAT?

Lionel Messi has been well covered, yet his impact on football is immense. Many consider him the Greatest Of All Time (GOAT) forward. His impressive resume speaks for itself:

  • 10 Spanish championships
  • 7 Copa del Rey titles
  • 4 UEFA Champions League victories
  • 8 Pichichi awards for La Liga’s top scorer
  • 6 Golden Shoe awards for being Europe’s top goal scorer

His 2022 World Cup win confirmed his standing as one of football’s most powerful and important players. He may even be the greatest footballer ever.

In 2023, Lionel Messi continues to be a dominant force on the football field.. He influences games and motivates young footballers worldwide. Messi inspires kids and professionals, who call potential fresh talent “the new Messi” or “the next Messi,” demonstrating his lasting influence.

Finally, Lionel Messi is a once-in-a-lifetime talent who has scored many incredible goals and helped his club, Barcelona, succeed.

EKITANGAZA KYA WEEKEND ONLINE TIPS AND PREDICTIONS (10th Nov)

Predictions

EKITANGAZA KYA WEEKEND ONLINE TIPS AND PREDICTIONS 10TH, 11TH & 12TH NOVEMBER

1. Borussia Monchengladbach VS Wolfsburg – O2.5 (Friday)

At Borussia Park, we are to have a maximum of 54,042 fans as two big sides meet in the Bundesliga round 11. The hosts are 11th placed as the guests sit 9th on the log, but guess what? Each of the 2 sides’ last 4 games played have made O2.5 goals. Do not hesitate to put your money on the safest bet of the weekend. 14 goals have been scored in their last 4 H2H meetings.

2. Ath. Bilbao Vs Celta Vigo – U2.5 (Friday)

Celta Vigo currently 18th placed in relegation zone are guests to 5th Bilbao as the race to secure UEFA spots and jump out of relegation continues respectively. I anticipate a tough game today at Estadio San Mames as Celta won’t be an easy side for the hosts following their last game against Sevilla. The safest bet here is U2.5 goals. 4/5 of their last H2H meetings have seen U2.5 goals.

3. Wolves Vs Tottenham – U2.5 (Saturday)

After receiving 2 red cards, high flying Tottenham shocked all punters when they succumbed to a 4:1 loss to struggling Chelsea in the London derby on Monday. Here comes Wolves at Molineux who hardly concede at home. I anticipate a game result with less than 3 goals. 5/5 last H2H meetings have seen U2.5 goals.

4. Manchester United Vs Luton – 1&O2.5 (Saturday)

If there is a game for United to revive their winning mentality, this is the one after attaining a win last weekend and a painful Champions League defeat to Copenhagen. A win today will see them possibly moving 6th on the log keeping other factors constant. United have won 5/6 last H2H, 4 of these seeing O2.5 goals.

5. Stuttgart Vs Dortmund – Yes & O2.5 (Saturday)

Oh my goodness! What a game this is going to be. 3rd placed Stuttgart host 4th placed Dortmund as the race to cling the gap between 2 leaders Bayern and Bayer Leverkusen continues. Dortmund and Stuttgart and tied up on 21 points with just goals separating the 2 sides. I anticipate an end to end game with both sides wanting to claim 3 points today since both lost over the weekend. 4/5 last H2H have seen O2.5 with 3 of these seeing both teams score at least a goal in each game.

6. Real Madrid Vs Valencia – 1 (Saturday)

Madrid are currently 2nd placed after making a goalless draw with Rayo Vallecano over the weekend. Being at home I expect them to use all possible effort and pedigree to defeat 8th placed Valencia however promising the latter has been in their previous games. Home win is worth a risk.

7. Vitoria Guimaraes Vs FC Porto – Home team to score: Yes (Saturday)

Vitoria Guimaraes are currently 5th placed as they host 3rd placed Porto at Estadio D. Afonso Henriques. Both sides are in high flying form as the quest for top spots continues. Guimaraes have scored in all their last 5 home games and I see them doing the same today against a defensively vulnerable Porto.

8. West Ham Vs Nottingham – Yes (Sunday)

West Ham have lost all their last 3 league games conceding in each. Basing on that I expect them to also concede a goal today. Following the home side’s recent bad form, they will really try to go for the 3 points in this game in a bid to revive their season. Expect an end to end game with goals flocking in from both sides.

9. Chelsea Vs Man City – 2&O1.5 (Sunday)

Log leaders are guests at Stamford Bridge as the Blues look forward to move further up the table following their dramatic win over Tottenham on Monday. I expect Man City to comfortably defeat Chelsea and the game will have a minimum of 2 goals. Chelsea are really struggling in all departments of the field hence cannot match Man City’s class, quality and form at the moment.

10. Lazio Vs AS Roma – No Goal Goal (Sunday)

It is the Roma derby as two rival clubs meet today at Stadio Olimpico. Who wins? Quite a hard question but the whole confidence runs around how these 2 sides have been performing every time they meet. To add, both sides have too much respect for each other and I expect Jose Mourinho to be a bit reserved to avoid losing this fixture. 4/5 of their last H2H meetings have seen Non Goal Goal.

Unveiling the Origins of the Champions League: A Tale of Rivalry and Innovation

In the world of football, there exists no greater honor for European clubs than the Champions League. It’s not just any trophy; it’s the ultimate prize, with a charm and prestige that captivates fans worldwide. Some clubs have triumphed an impressive 13 times, like Real Madrid, while others, like Juventus, have sought to end decades of yearning by recruiting legends like Cristiano Ronaldo. But behind this grandeur lies a fascinating history that not many are familiar with—the birth of the European Cup, which later evolved into the Champions League.

The Champions League, as we know it today, is set to undergo a significant transformation in the summer of 2024. This iconic tournament, which has enthralled football fans for decades, will bid farewell to the traditional group stage format of four teams, replacing it with a single league consisting of 36 top-tier teams. While this shift may seem like a revolutionary change, it is just the latest chapter in the league’s evolution.

The Duel between Hanot and Wolverhampton

Our story revolves around two key figures: England, represented by the Wolverhampton team, and France, embodied by the renowned journalist Gabriel Hanot of L’Equipe. Hanot was no ordinary journalist; he had a deep connection with the world of football, having played as a defender in both France and Germany before a tragic plane crash redirected his path towards journalism.

Our journey begins on a December day in 1954 when Wolverhampton faced Honved Budapest in a friendly match at the Moineux Stadium. Wolverhampton, in those years, was struggling to regain its footballing prowess after a series of disappointments on the international stage. They had been humbled by the United States and Uruguay in the World Cup, and the heavy defeats against the Hungarian national team still haunted them.

However, this particular match against Honved Budapest would change their fortunes. Trailing 2-0 at half-time, Wolverhampton showcased remarkable resilience in the second half, overturning the score to win 3-2, thanks to a penalty converted by Hancocks and two goals by Swinbourne. The victory, or rather, the comeback, received enthusiastic praise from the English press.

Among the cheering crowd at the Moineux Stadium was Gabriel Hanot, who held a different view. He disagreed with the jubilant analysis of the English press and, the next day, published an article in L’Equipe with the provocative title, “Non, Wolverhampton n’est pas encore le ‘Champion du monde des clubs'” (“No, Wolverhampton is not yet the club world champion”). Hanot argued that before declaring Wolverhampton as an invincible force, they needed to prove themselves not just at home but also on international stages in Moscow and Budapest. He believed other teams deserved a shot at the title as well.

Thus, the idea of a grand championship among European clubs was born. L’Equipe, with the approval of its owner, Jacques Goddet, and director, Marcel Oger, drafted a proposal and shared it not only with FIFA and UEFA but also with major European clubs. FIFA, in particular, showed interest, although they could not oversee it as their jurisdiction was limited to national teams.

The Birth of the Champions League

In March 1955, at the inaugural UEFA Congress in Vienna, Gabriel Hanot and Jacques Ferran introduced the project to European federations. While UEFA initially claimed it had no authority over the matter as it didn’t involve national teams, key figures like Santiago Bernabeu of Real Madrid and Gusztav Sebes of Hungary’s national team were captivated by the idea.

A second meeting took place in Paris, where clubs interested in the project, including AC Milan, gathered. Regulations were approved, and an organizing committee was established, with Frenchman Bredignan elected as President, and Bernabeu and Sebes as Vice Presidents.

As the competition gained momentum, UEFA grew concerned about being bypassed and felt the need to assert control. In May 1955, they held an emergency meeting in London, urging FIFA to examine the conditions for organizing the event, emphasizing adherence to international standards. FIFA responded favorably, setting the conditions that national federations authorize their clubs’ participation and that UEFA directly manage the event.

On June 21, 1955, UEFA gave the green light to the event, which was officially named the European Champion Clubs’ Cup, later simplified to the European Cup.

The Inaugural Season

The inaugural Champions League season in 1955 saw 16 teams invited to participate. Notably, English clubs declined to take part, deeming the experiment beneath the stature of British football. Real Madrid, however, embraced the opportunity and triumphed in Paris, defeating Stade de Reims in front of 40,000 spectators.

This victory marked the beginning of a transformation in European football. Over the next few years, all European football federations began to enter their national champions, gradually adapting the format. This evolution culminated in the formation of the modern Champions League.

Conclusion

As you settle in to watch the Champions League on television, and you hear its iconic anthem, remember that it all began with a friendly match and a newspaper headline. The Champions League has come a long way since its inception in 1954, evolving into the pinnacle of European club football. Its rich history and the legends it has created are testament to the enduring legacy of this extraordinary tournament.
