The 125th edition of the Premier League was a breathtaking display that saw Manchester City crowned as champions of England for the fourth time consecutively. This memorable season witnessed a remarkable African presence with numerous players dazzling. Here are some of the most notable African scorers from the 2023-2024 season.
Another prolific season for Liverpool’s Egyptian icon Mohamed Salah. He finished top among his fellow Africans in terms of goal scoring, netting 18 times in the EPL. Despite his impressive individual performance, Liverpool had a disappointing season, failing to secure any trophies.
Senegal international Jackson Nicholas had a brilliant first year in the Premier League after being transferred from Villarreal by Chelsea. Even though he was criticized for missing scoring chances, Jackson scored 14 goals, making him one of the most dangerous forwards in the league.
Yoane Wissa played an important role in keeping Brentford in the Premier League with his twelve goals. His partnership with Bryan Mbeumo troubled many backlines on various occasions. In addition, on their final match against Newcastle, Congolese striker Yoane Wissa scored an amazing goal which helped keep Brentford alive and competing at a higher level next year
