Yet again we are having Friday Night Football courtesy of EPL. What a game to open up the weekend for football lovers. I expect and end-to-end game as the hosts will be looking for maximum points to jump out of relegation zone. Brentford being a better side will also push for a win of course. 5/5 of their last EPL head-to-head meetings have seen both teams score.
At Stade Municipal De Braga, 4th placed Braga who sit just 2 points behind Porto in 3rd host 11th placed Nacional. A win for Braga will see them surpass Porto to get to the 3rd spot prior to the latter’s action over the weekend. Braga have won 4/5 last head-to-head meetings with Nacional.
Ever since the appointment of David Moyes, Everton have collected the most points in the Premier League. They currently occupy the 14th spot, just a place a head of struggling Man United who are 15th. I expect an end-to-end game seeing each side at least score a goal. Man United have won 5/5 of their last meetings but I do not see them winning this one
Here comes one of the most ferocious London derbies as the Gunners host the Hammers at Emirates. Arsenal are in great form compared to West Ham and I see them capitalizing on this to attain maximum points following their title race with Liverpool. West Ham have not won a single game from their last 4 EPL fixtures. They have lost 3 and drawn once.
At Villa Park, currently struggling Villa host struggling Chelsea. Both sides have leaky defenses however much they have good forward lines. I expect goals to flock in from both sides. All their last 3 Head-to-head meetings have seen more than two goals.
More than one goal to be at odd 1.41 when Valencia host Atletico Madrid at Estadio De Mestalla is worth any risk. Following the trends of this season, both sides have good forward lines and mainly focusing on the away side, they have scored in each of their last 7 games in all competitions. Valencia have scored in 9/10 of their last outings in all competitions. I expect a minimum of 2 goals in this game.
At Estadio Antonio Coimbra De Mota in Estoril, the Canarihnos host currently 8th placed Rio Ave who have really been struggling in their last 3 league games putting them in the 10th spot on the log. Rio Ave have drawn all their last 3 games. Estoril have won 4/5 of their last league games and have not lost any. Basing on form and home advantage, I see the hosts snatching the 3 points though with a small win margin.
At Etihad, Man City host league leaders Liverpool as the race to the EPL title continues. Man City are currently 4th placed and we saw them get out of the Champions League in midweek as they lost to Real Madrid. We saw Liverpool draw with Aston Villa which really lessened their gap with Arsenal in the title race. I expect an end-to-end game which will see a couple of goals flock in. I anticipate a minimum of 3 goals.
After having a spell of 3 league games without winning, Real Madrid lost their league top spot to Barcelona. Real Madrid are currently tied on 51 points with Barcelona who have a head-to-head advantage over them. I see the Los Blancos putting in all effort to win this game to keep up the pace with Barcelona. Madrid have won all their last 3 head-to-head meetings and 4/5 of them have seen O2.5 goals.
At Jan Breydel Stadion, Club Brugge host rivals St. Liege who have really been struggling with poor form and this has seen them lose their last 2 games. St. Liege last defeated Club Brugge at their home ground in 2013 thanks to Batshuayi and Buyens. Those who know Club Brugge’s home record, all we can do is to trust them to attain the 3 points today. Club Brugge is currently 2nd placed however; St. Liege sit 7th on the log.
~GOOD LUCK~
