Currently sitting 8th, Monchengladbach host 4th placed Mainz at Borussia-Park. Mainz are really in good form which has seen them win all their last 3 Bundesliga games. Playing at home I will expect the hosts to pose a big test to the away side since they also want to get back into European spots for next season’s European football. I anticipate an end-to-end game with at least a goal scored by each side. All their last 3 head-to-head meetings have seen goal-goal.
Korona Kielce currently sits 11th in the Polish Ekstraklasa and have not lost any game from their last 5 league outings. Puszcza are in relegation zone (16th) struggling to survive with a really bad form. Korona Kielce have won all the games they have ever hosted Puszcza since the 2 clubs started meeting (3/3). Home win at odd 1.82 is worth a risk.
At Amex today, Brighton currently sitting 8th on the log host 9th placed Fulham as just one point separates the two sides. I expect scintillating action in this game as both sides almost have the same style of play. Both are direct and forward going. Brighton are in good form and have won all their last 5 games however they have lost 4/5 head-to-head with Fulham. Expect action. Let us go for more than two goals.
Liverpool are 90% assured of winning the league if at all they continue winning. A struggling Southampton comes to Anfield when players like Mo Salah want to set more records and secure their contract extension. I really feel sorry for Soton. I see a 3:0 win in favor of Liverpool.
At signal Iduna Park, 10th placed Dortmund host 11th placed Augsburg as the Bundesliga continues. Both clubs have really been on and off in regards to form though none has lost a game from their last 2 fixtures. Dortmund are just 3 points away from Europa positions as Augsburg are just 4 points. Expect an end-to-end action with plenty of goals flowing in. 3/5 of their last head-to-head meetings have seen more than 2 goals.
At Stadio Via del Mare, 16th placed Lecce who have not won a game from their last 4 Serie A fixtures host 9th placed AC Milan as the Scudetto continues. I expect an open game as the away side will be looking at claiming a win to cling their gap from European football spots. The home side is of course 3 points from relegation and will be looking at clinging it. I expect an end-to-end game with a minimum of 3 goals in the entire game.
At St. Andrew’s stadium, log leaders Birmingham host 12th placed Lincoln as the English League one proceeds. After the league leaders dramatically losing their last game to Bolton, I see them coming up to try use all possible means to defeat this struggling Lincoln side. Basing on Pedigree, home advantage and player quality, I expect a home win. Birmingham have attained maximum points with O2.5 goals all the times both clubs have met since their existence.
At a capacity of over 75K fans at Old Trafford, Manchester United host Arsenal in a do or die encounter as the EPL continues. This is one of the games Man United treasures so much however bad their form may be at any particular moment in time. United currently sit 14th and have not been having a good spell of form since the appointment of Ruben Amorim. Arsenal slightly lost their title hopes last mid-week when they made a nil-nil draw with Nottingham Forest. I expect an end-to-end game as both will try to revive their confidence into the season. I anticipate a minimum of 3 goals combined in the entire game.
A win for Chelsea today will move them straight into the top 4 since 3rd placed Nottingham will be playing against 4th placed Man City. Chelsea are 5th placed with just a point behind 4th placed and 2 points behind 3rd placed who they better in goal difference (5 goals). Leicester have lost all their last 5 games in all competitions. Leicester currently sit 19th and I do not see them claiming even a single point at Stamford Bridge unless Chelsea is just cursed.
After losing to Real Betis last weekend, the defending champions are currently 3rd placed on the log and here comes 7th placed struggling Rayo Vallecano who have not won a game from their last 3 outings. At Santiago Bernabeu, I see Real Madrid winning this game to keep the pace with Barcelon and Atletico Madrid if at all they are to defend the league. All the last 3 head-to-head meetings ended in draws. I see the Los Blancos breaking that spell tonight.
