Match-fixing scandals have clouded the integrity of football globally, and Ugandan sport is hardly an exception. The incredible 7-0 victory of Kitara FC over Express FC at Butema Stadium on December 21, 2024, raised enormous concerns among officials and supporters. “We don’t base investigations solely on how goals were scored,” Magogo explained. “Even the world’s best goalkeepers have bad days. However, we are committed to uncovering the truth. Let us give our team time to provide concrete findings.”

“When we ban someone, it is because we are certain of their guilt,” Magogo stated. “We aim to set a precedent that corruption in football will not go unpunished.”
