Kabugo’s sudden collapse caught everyone off guard, especially SC Villa’s left-back, Simon Semayange, who was among the first to notice the distress and quickly alerted the main referee, George Olemu.

Upon noticing Kabugo lying unresponsive, Semayange and other players called for immediate medical assistance. Match officials promptly signaled to the on-pitch medics, who rushed to assess the situation. Within minutes, an ambulance arrived to transport Kabugo to Bismillah Hospital, located nearby in Kitebi.
