Club football returns after the International Break and in the French top tier, Nice currently 9th placed host 2nd placed Marseille who come into this fixture looking for a win to top the league prior to PSG playing. The worst I see the away side getting in this fixture is a draw.
2. Valencia Vs Levante – U2.5 (Friday)
At Estadio De Mestalla, City rivals both among the bottom 4 clubs on the Spanish La Liga log come in a context which is seen as a key game to revive their season. I don’t expect so many chances to be created basing on statistics. Both sides hardly score and here they come against each other. Let us go for under 2.5
3. Burnley Vs Chelsea – 2 (Saturday)
At Turf Moor, 17th placed Burnley host 3rd placed Chelsea who are just 6 points behind log leaders Arsenal. A win today will see Chelsea cling the gap to 3 points. Basing on form, I see the blues winning this game at turf Moor. Chelsea have won all their last 2 visits at Turf Moor.
4. Liverpool Vs Nottingham – 1 (Saturday)
Following Nottingham poor form so far this season that puts them 19th on the log, I see this as Liverpool’s chance to revive their winning form since they are playing at Anfield
5. Newcastle Vs Man City – 2&O1.5 (Saturday)
Currently 14th placed, Newcastle host 2nd placed Man City who are really in good form and trying to chase log leader Arsenal. I expect an end -to-end game with both sides scoring some goals though I see Man City winning this fixture basing on Pedigree.
6. Dortmund Vs Stuttgart – O2.5 (Saturday)
At Signal Iduna Park, 3rd placed Dortmund host 4th placed Stuttgart as the race for the Bundesliga title continues. Both sides are tied on 10 points with a goal difference of 4. I expect an end-to-end game with plenty of goals flocking in as both sides want to attain the 3 points.
7. Atalanta Vs Napoli – O2.5 (Saturday)
I anticipate an end-to-end game as both sides have a direct approach and rarely respect each other. I see at least a goal from each side and a minimum of 3 goals. 4/5 of their last 5 head-to-head meetings have seen O2.5 goals.
8. Arsenal Vs Tottenham – Yes (Sunday)
Following Gabriel’s injury during the international break, I see the Gunners being a bit shaky at the back and may concede at least a goal. Tottenham have a very sharp forward line and being a derby I see them posing a lot of threat to the hosts. Arsenal is also capable of penetrating Tottenham’s shaky defense. Let us go for goal-goal.
9. Inter Vs AC Milan – Yes (Sunday)
Log leaders Inter host 3rd placed AC Milan in the famous Milan derby at the San Siro. I expect an end-to-end game as only 2 points separate the 2 sides. Both will come for a Win since it is an opportunity for each of them to set the pace for the Scudetto race. Remember both sides host at the same stadium so its more of a balanced game.
10. Elche Vs Real Madrid – 2&O2.5 (Sunday)
Real Madrid is leading the Spanish log with 3 points lead over Barcelona. After making a goalless draw with Rayo prior to International Break, I see the Los Blancos coming into this fixture with plenty of desire to comfortably put this game to bed to make yet another statement that they are seriously chasing the trophy this season. Real Madrid has won all their last 2 head-to-head meetings with Elche with over 2.5 goals.
