Uganda Cranes call up a 28-man squad of local and foreign-based players ahead of international friendlies. Coach Paul Put will be at the helm of Uganda Cranes in an international friendly against Cameroon and The Gambia on 7th and 14th June 2025, respectively. Both matches take place in Marrakech, Morocco. These international friendlies are more than just friendlies, as they determine how the national team will proceed.
International friendlies may not carry competitive points, but for Uganda, they’re anything but casual. This is Coach Paul Put’s opportunity to implement his formations, assess how his team performs under pressure, and make necessary adjustments for the upcoming 2025 Africa Cup of Nations qualifying matches.
Cameroon has pedigree and power. The Gambia is one of the most unpredictable teams in Africa. Uganda needs both exposure and experience—and there’s no better opportunity than this.
Paul Put’s strategy since taking over as Cranes head coach has been clear, build a squad that’s athletic, organized, and composed under pressure. These friendlies will be a direct test of that vision.
