Vipers SC claims the Uganda Premier League championship for the seventh time in franchise history, and with two games remaining in the season, it’s clear they’re etched into Ugandan soccer history forever.
The Vipers secured their fourth championship trophy in the last six seasons. Everything they planned midseason came to fruition with successful defensive maneuvers, coaching changes when appropriate, and splashes of brilliance from the playmakers.
A Defensive Wall: The Foundation of Victory
One of the critical components to Vipers’ 2024/25 success was their defense. Allowing only 14 goals all season long (across 29 matches) with 20 clean sheets, Vipers had statistics that rivaled an Italian defensive dynasty rather than the wide-open Uganda league.
